Step 9 - Get some Pass Plus training
When you have passed your practical test you can generally save yourself some money on your
insurance by taking a Pass Plus course.

This is a minimum 6 hour course with 6 modules: town driving, all weather, rural roads, night driving, dual
carriageway and motorway.

I match this course to the pupils needs, so almost inevitably we spend a lot of time on the motorway.

You do not have to sit a test but I have to sign a form stating you have reached a satisfactory standard,
almost all pupils achieve the standard within the 6 hours, very occasionally some take a little longer.

Most of my pupils tell me they will save more on their first year of insurance than they spend on the
course.

The cost of the course is £2
5 per hour, and its usual to do three 2 hour lessons to complete it.
